LASG seeks platforms for youths to thrive

Connects employers, applicants at 2025 job fair
Lagos State Government has stressed the need to provide platforms for youths to thrive.
The state’s Commissioner for Wealth Creation and Employment, Akinyemi Ajigbotafe, who stated this during a job fair themed “Unlocking Opportunities: Bridging talent and Employers for a prosperous Lagos,” yesterday, organised by the ministry, said: “There are immense talents and ingenuity that abound in Lagos. The city is a hub of innovation, entrepreneurship, and creativity. It is, therefore, government’s responsibility to provide the platforms for youths to thrive. This job fair is one of such platforms designed to bridge the gap between talented individuals and reputable employers.”
Ajigbotafe said that the fair was designed to ensure that graduates have the opportunities to connect with the right companies, finding roles that align with their passion, skills, and ambitions.
The commissioner, who emphasised the importance of the collaboration that allows matching job seekers’ skills with employers’ needs for growth in their organisations, said that job fairs are a way to expand talent pool and find fresh perspectives that can drive businesses forward.
He acknowledged the support of Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu towards reducing the dearth of unemployed youths in the state.
