All is now set for the maiden edition of a colloquium put together by Lagos Traffic Radio, and the Lagos State Traffic Management Agency (LASTMA), which is aimed at advancing traffic management, coordination and reportage.

A statement jointly signed by the general managers of both outfits, Tayo Akanle and Bolaji Oreagba respectively, revealed that the partnership and subsequent conversations would centre on improving service delivery, all geared towards achieving the Greater Lagos vision of the Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu-led administration.

The statement said part of the objectives of the exercise is to ultimately add value to motorists/commuters experience in Lagos, as it is important to enhance their productivity through a reduction of travel time.

The forum, whose theme is “Repositioning of Traffic Information Agencies for Better Performance,” would have in attendance, Lagos Traffic Radio On Air Personalities (OAP), LASTMA zonal controllers and field officers among others.

It would be held on January 18, 2022 at Radio Lagos/Eko FM Hall, LTV Complex Ikeja at 10 am.

The Commissioner for Information and Strategy, Mr. Gbenga Omotoso, is expected to give the keynote address and declare it open, while his counterpart in the Ministry of Transportation, Dr. Fredric Oladeinde, the Special Adviser on Transportation, Toyin Fayinka, and Head of Service, Hakeem Muri-Okunola, would give goodwill messages at the event.
