Lagos State Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA) has warned officials of Eko Electricity Distribution Company (EKEDC) to strictly adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while on duties across the state.
General Manager of LASTMA, Bolaji Oreagba, gave the warning, yesterday, while receiving 500 operational reflective jackets donated to the agency by EKEDC.
Oreagba, who was represented at the event by LASTMA Quarter Master-General (QMG), Oki Bakare, said that the warning became necessary following reports of some EKEDC drivers contravening traffic laws, particularly when on official duties.
The GM urged other private organisations to emulate the kind gesture of EKEDC and support the state government in its traffic management and control efforts.
Chief Executive Officer/Managing Director of EKEDC, Dr. Tunde Sanda, who spoke through the Chief Customer Experience Officer, Catherine Ezeafulukwe, said the donation of the jackets was part of activities marking EKEDC’s 2022 Customer Service Week Corporate Social Responsibility.
