Lions Club donates to Yaba PHC

As part of efforts aimed at improving the health and wellness of Nigerians, members of Yaba Lions Club have donated submersible water-pump machine, plastic chairs, and wash hand basins to the Oba Salami Primary Healthcare Centre (PHC), Yaba.

Speaking during the commissioning, the District Governor, District 404A1, Nigeria, Tokunbo Aromolaran, during his visits to clubs in Region 2, expressed happiness with the gesture of Yaba Lions Club.

According to him, the seven clubs in the region are performing well by impacting on their communities and embarking on empowerment programmes for citizens to expand their businesses.

President of Yaba Lions Club, Bolare Abioye, said the wash hand basin was provided to enable the PHC to comply with the COVID-19 protocols. He added that the DG started with the flag-off of the renovation of seven classroom blocks at Fadeyi Primary School, Fadeyi, Lagos.

Also, the Region 2 chairman, Gbenga Odumosu, on behalf of region clubs donated a cheque of N250,000 for the surgery of a four-year-old girl with abdominal cancer. The cheque was presented to the little girl by the District Governor.
