Lokpobiri faults composition of Bayelsa Assembly leadership
The Heineken Lokpobiri Campaign Organisation (HLCO) has faulted the composition of the Bayelsa House of Assembly leadership, describing it as unequal and unfair.
The immediate past Minister of State for Agriculture and All Progressives Congress (APC) aspirant for the November 16, 2019 governorship election in the state, Heineken Lokpobiri, wondered why Ogbia Local Council was excluded from the top hierarchy.
The campaign body said the action of the ruling Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the oil-rich state was a testament of its alleged hatred for Ogbia people.
HLCO’s Director-General, Warman Ogoriba, in a statement in Yenagoa, said their investigations revealed that the entire East Senatorial District where Ogbia is located got only one of the six leadership positions.
