The MAAUN Group of Universities has congratulated the Minister of State for Education, Professor Suwaiba Sa’id Ahmad, on the occasion of her 45th birthday.

In a statement issued on Friday, the Founder of the MAAUN Group, Professor Adamu Abubakar Gwarzo, described the milestone as an opportunity to recognise the minister’s contributions to Nigeria’s education sector.

Gwarzo said Ahmad’s service in public office reflects a commitment to educational development and policy advancement, noting that her leadership role comes at a time when reforms and investment in the sector remain critical.

According to the statement, Ahmad has demonstrated dedication to strengthening education across the country, with particular attention to improving access and institutional growth.

“It is an indisputable fact that Prof. Suwaiba has contributed immensely towards the development and advancement of education in the country.

“On behalf of myself and management of MAAUN Group of Universities, I wish to extend our heartfelt congratulations to Prof. Suwaiba for reaching this important milestone,” Gwarzo said.

Gwarzo described the minister as a figure whose career trajectory offers inspiration, particularly to young women pursuing academic and leadership roles.

He noted that expanding opportunities for girls’ education remains an ongoing national priority, especially in parts of northern Nigeria where enrolment gaps persist.

The MAAUN founder expressed optimism that Ahmad’s tenure would further strengthen policy implementation and institutional reforms within the education system.

He also extended goodwill wishes for a successful term in office.

“As an epitome of scholarship and simplicity, the Minister deserves to be celebrated at this momentous occasion,” he said.

Ahmad, who currently serves as Minister of State for Education, marks her 45th birthday amid ongoing federal efforts aimed at improving educational access and quality nationwide.
