The Oyo Governor, Seyi Makinde, has given his approval for the promotion of civil and public servants in the state.

The decision was made during a meeting of the Oyo State Executive Council (SEC) that was held at the governor’s office in Ibadan on Monday.

During a press briefing following the council meeting, the Oyo State Commissioner for Information, Prince Dotun Oyelade, made the announcement on Tuesday.

Oyelade announced that Governor Makinde had granted approval for the promotion of some civil servants.

He added that the package is for civil servants who are eligible for elevation to the next level after successfully completing the 2022 Promotion Exercise.

In addition, the Oyo State Commissioner for Budget and Economic Planning, Professor Musibau Babatunde, stated that the Head of Service (HOS) will provide further details regarding the number of individuals promoted and the corresponding allowances to be paid.
