Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo State, the Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi, and the Olubadan of Ibadanland, Oba Rashidi Ladoja, were among prominent traditional rulers who attended the commissioning of the global headquarters of CapitalSage Holdings in Ibadan, Oyo State.
Makinde and the monarchs joined other dignitaries, investors and government officials at the ceremony, which also marked the 10th anniversary of the conglomerate.
Other royal fathers at the event included the Soun of Ogbomoso and the Deji of Akure.
The ceremony was attended by Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde, who said Ibadan had the potential to compete with Lagos for major investments if the state continued to strengthen entrepreneurship, skills development, knowledge and productive enterprise.
Makinde said natural resources alone could not guarantee prosperity, stressing the need for innovation, human capital development and intensive production to drive sustainable economic growth.
He reiterated his administration’s commitment to supporting investors through improved security, investment facilitation and business-friendly policies.
The governor said the growth of CapitalSage Holdings demonstrated Ibadan’s capacity to attract and sustain major business operations, adding that his administration would continue to work with private-sector players to stimulate investment and create jobs.
The founder and Group Managing Director of CapitalSage Holdings, John Alamu, commended the Makinde administration for creating what he described as an enabling environment for businesses in the state.
CapitalSage Holdings, which celebrated its 10th anniversary at the event, operates as a conglomerate with about 20 companies.
The commissioning of the headquarters formed part of the activities marking the company’s anniversary and its business expansion in Ibadan.
