Man kills cousin over argument on roofing sheets in Ogoni

A 20- year -old man, Bobby Gabriel from Doburo Community in Khana Local Government Area of Rivers State has allegedly stabbed his cousin, Mr. Kopapa Neete to death over argument on roofing sheets.

Chairman of the Community Development Committee (CDC) of the community, Mr. Vincent Gbosi, who confirmed the incident, yesterday via a telephone call, said Neete bought some roofing sheets to fix his house, which was allegedly tampered with with by his cousin.
According to Ogbosi, Gabriel tampered with the zinc by removing some of them after Netee had left the house.
He said: “Neete on arrival, noticed that some of his roofing sheets were missing, he got angry and started accusing his younger cousin, Gabriel of stealing his hard-earned savings. But, he in return stabbed Neete and he died without delay.”
The CDC chairman said the matter has been reported to Bori Divisional Police headquarters.
“Gabriel stabbed one member of our community to death over an argument on roofing sheets. We have formally lodged a complaint to the police. We, therefore, call on the government to look into the spate of insecurity in Ogoniland,” he added.
