Matawalle, Okorocha meet, discuss good governance

The Minister of State for Defence, Bello Matawalle, has met with former Governor of Imo State, Owelle Rochas Okorocha, in a bid to ensure good governance in the polity.
The duo, who met at the Ministry of Defence in Abuja on Wednesday, explored issues relating to the actualisation of the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration.
The former Zamfara governor has been actively discharging his constitutional roles by ensuring the safety of the nation’s territorial integrity.
Some of the key issues discussed included security and the collective responsibility of all citizens to promote peace and unity across the country.
During the visit, Senator Okorocha reaffirmed his commitment to supporting the president’s Renewed Hope Initiatives for a more secure, prosperous, and inclusive Nigeria.
The duo have been good friends for a long time, and the former Imo State governor had previously visited Matawalle at the Government House in Gusau while he was Zamfara State governor.
The Minister of State for Defence, who was a former two-term member of the House of Representatives, appreciated the visit and commended Okorocha for putting Nigeria first.
