The Mountain of Fire and Miracles Ministries (MFM), South-South 3, Uyo Mega Region in Akwa Ibom State, has organised a capacity-building retreat aimed at equipping pastors, ministers, workers, and members for greater effectiveness in ministry.
The retreat focused on enhancing ministerial efficiency, deepening spiritual growth, and fostering unity within the church workforce. It also sought to equip participants with relevant skills for effective service delivery and sustainable church growth.
The programme featured sessions on spiritual development, leadership, evangelism, operational efficiency, and departmental coordination. Activities included intensive prayer sessions, deliverance, vibrant worship, and teachings on leadership accountability, faithfulness, loyalty, revival, and balancing family life with ministry.
Participants, drawn from across Akwa Ibom State, were engaged in practical teachings designed to reposition them for greater impact in their various roles.
Speaking at the retreat, the Mega Regional Overseer, Pastor Patrick Omokaro, urged participants to “imbibe righteousness and pursue God by living holy,” describing the gathering as an opportunity for deep reflection and repentance.
He reminded attendees that “we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ,” while reaffirming that soul-winning remains the core mandate of the church. He also commended the MFM General Overseer, Dr. Daniel Olukoya, and his wife, Dr. Folashade Elizabeth Olukoya, for their commitment to the spiritual and physical development of members.
Also speaking, Pastor Mrs. Folakemi Omokaro highlighted the role of female ministers, describing women as “solution providers” and urging them to defend their families and the church through intercession.
Other speakers emphasised accountability in leadership, loyalty to God in both private and public life, and the importance of effective family management among ministers. A session on revival defined it as “a movement, not just a feeling,” rooted in holiness and the power of the Holy Spirit.
The retreat also underscored the importance of discipline, integrity, and administrative excellence in ministry, with a focus on effective departmental coordination.
Participants described the retreat as impactful, expressing renewed commitment to advancing the mission of the church, promoting growth, and contributing positively to society.
The event concluded with a reaffirmation of dedication to church growth and kingdom advancement.
