The Multinational Joint Task Force (MNJTF) and Nigerian Army have met to strategise to defeat Boko Haram terrorists in the Lake Chad region and Mandara Hills.

According to MNJTF, the strategy would enhance military operations, including information and intelligence sharing to end the war. Theatre Commander of Operation Lafiya Dole, Maj-Gen. Farouk Yahaya, disclosed this at the weekend, while hosting Camerounian Joint Military Delegation (CJMD), led by Maj-Gen. Saly Muhamadou, at the Maimalari Cantonment, Maiduguri, the state capital.

Muhamadou said the visit to Theatre Command in Nigeria was to cement the relationship among MNJTF member countries of Cameroun, Niger, Chad and Nigeria.

“It will further enhance military operations to fight the common enemy, the Boko Haram,” he said.

Commander of Sector 1, Operation Emergency Cameroun, Brig-Gen. Buba Dobekreo, said they were in Nigerian to share more information on Boko Haram’s threats to people’s lives and property in the two countries.
