Mohammed Fawehinmi died of COVID-19 complications, says family
The family of the late Mohammed Fawehinmi, yesterday, said that he died of complications from COVID-19 infection. The Head of the family, Saheed Fawehinmi, who disclosed this to journalists at the GRA, Ikeja residence, said that Mohammed did not take any dose of the COVID-19 vaccines, which could have increase his chances of survival.
He said: “The service of songs and the night of tributes for our late brother will hold on Wednesday, August 25, at the Archbishop Vining Cathedral in Ikeja from 4.00 p.m. to 7.00 p.m. The two events will be divided into two halves.”
According to him, his remains would be interred on Friday, August 27, 2021, at the Gani Fawehinmi family compound in Ondo Town after a brief funeral service with due adherence to COVID-19 protocol.
