VC says founder’s wife sustains N.5m prize for first class students
Mountain Top University (MTU) has extolled the sterling virtues of the wife of Dr. Daniel Kolawole Olukoya, who is the Visitor to the university and General Overseer (GO) of Mountain of Fire and Miracles Ministries Worldwide, Pastor (Mrs.) Shade Olukoya.

It noted that her commitment to the development of the women-folk and the youths in particular remained unequalled.

Vice Chancellor of the university, Prof. Elijah Afolabi, while addressing journalists yesterday on the activities lined up for the MTU’s convocation scheduled for tomorrow, at the institution’s temporary campus, Prayer City, Ibafo, said the General Overseer’s wife would be conferred with the honorary degree of Doctor of Letters (D.Litt.) for her commitment to the growth and development of the institution.

Afolabi said the decision was arrived at after due consideration of her support to the institution.

He said: “Her commitment to development of MTU is second to none. She always supports First Class students with cash prizes to the tune of N500,000.00, sponsors youth activities all over the world, does music challenge for youths and contributes to the education and emancipation of women in the society to liberate them from poverty.”

The VC also disclosed that Ogun State Governor, Dapo Abiodun, would deliver the convocation lecture with the theme: “The Nexus Between Faith, Knowledge and Resilience.”
