Muhammad Hameem named new Emir of Dutse

Governor Muhammad Abubakar of Jigawa State has approved Muhammad Sanusi as the New Emir of Dutse with effect from yesterday, February 5, 2023. This follows approval of the seven-member committee of the Dutse Emirate king makers who unanimously selected Sanusi as the new Emir of Dutse with seven votes among three contenders of the Royal seat

It added that that this approval was later forwarded to Jigawa State Council of Chiefs, which also approved the decision.

The statement said the Council of Chiefs sent the name of Hameem and other two contestants to the governor for his approval. In his good will message to the new Emir, Badaru felicitated with the new Emir and wish him Allah’s guidance, wisdom, and protection in the cause of his leadership.
