MUSWEN holds confab on Islam in Ibadan

Renowned Islamic scholars and stakeholders will converge on Ibadan, Oyo State, tomorrow to discuss the history of Islam in Yorubaland.

With the theme, ‘Islam in Yorubaland: Progress and Challenges’, the international conference facilitated by the Muslim Ummah of South West Nigeria (MUSWEN), is part of activities lined up to mark the 10th anniversary of the group.

Chairman of the conference planning committee, Prof. Muhib Opeloye, and that of the 10th anniversary committee, Alhaji Yisa Abdulkareem, indicated in a statement that the maiden conference would hold at theUniversity of Ibadan, from 10am.
