The Governor of Plateau State, Caleb Manasseh Mutfwang, has reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to harnessing the state’s vast potential for economic growth and national development.
Mutfwang made this known on Saturday during a stakeholders’ meeting organised by the Personal Assistant to the President on Constituency Affairs, Alhaja Khadijat Kareem Omotayo. The event, held at the Victoria Gowon Hall, New Government House, Little Rayfield, Jos, brought together key stakeholders to discuss issues affecting the state and the nation.
Represented by the Commissioner for Youth and Sports Development, Musa Ibrahim Ashoms, Mutfwang assured the presidential aide of the Plateau State stakeholders’ support in promoting equitable and inclusive governance through strategic infrastructural development.
He emphasised that Plateau State remains a fertile ground for nurturing talents and fostering development across various sectors, adding that the Federal Government’s interventions in different aspects of life have significantly contributed to improving the living standards of the citizens.
In her remarks, Alhaja Khadijat Kareem Omotayo stated that Plateau State was strategically chosen for the engagement due to its immense potential.
She stressed that if properly harnessed, these resources could drive sustainable development not only in the state but across the nation.
Omotayo further reiterated President Bola Tinubu’s commitment to fostering inclusivity and national development, emphasising that his administration is open to collaboration with all Nigerians to achieve these goals.
The town hall meeting served as a vital platform for dialogue and collaboration among government officials, community leaders, and citizens. It provided an opportunity to share ideas, address pressing concerns, and collectively seek solutions for the progress and prosperity of Plateau State.
The President’s aide added that Tinubu is working hard to improve roads and housing in the country, and he is committed to improving health services, assuring the people that their voices would be heard all over.
Omotayo also disclosed that no fewer than 40 million Nigerian students have so far benefited from the Federal Government’s free loan initiative to boost the standard of education in the country.
