N-Power beneficiaries rally for Buhari in Lagos

Beneficiaries of N-Power, a social investment programme of the federal government for job creation and empowerment, at the weekend went on a solidarity march in Lagos State, endorsing President Muhammadu Buhari for a second term in office.
The event took place after a sensitisation programme organised for the beneficiaries by the Lagos State Ministry of Wealth Creation and Employment at Teslim Balogun Stadium, Surulere.

Some of the beneficiaries thanked Buhari for his support for youths.

Senior Special Assistant to the Vice President on Job Creation, Mr. Afolabi Imoukhuede, said his presence at the event was to formally accept the endorsement.

The Commissioner for Wealth Creation and Employment, Mrs. Uzamat Akinbile-Yussuf, said: “N-Power is targeted at engaging unemployed youths nationwide, and we are delighted that Lagos has benefitted a lot from the programme, because it has extremely engaged our youths to contribute their quota to the development of the state through their role in the three arms of the programme, namely: NTeach, NHealth and NAgro, for graduates to teach in primary and secondary schools, be engaged as health workers or work as farmers to boost the agriculture sector.”

Meanwhile, the Razaq Mobolaji Balogun (RMB) political group has commenced mobilisation of support for All Progressives Congress (APC) candidates, with the donation of various campaign materials, including six branded vehicles as well as 10,000 posters and handbills for each of the candidates.

The group, which is under the leadership of former chief whip of Lagos State House of Assembly, Dr. Abdurrazaq Balogun, said the development became imperative in view of the need to facilitate the campaign process of APC, as the candidates put forward by the party were genuinely committed to the development of the country.
