Nigerian Air Force and Cross River State government will partner in the training of workers in the state’s garment factory to produce uniforms for airmen.

Nigerian Air Force and Cross River State government will partner in the training of workers in the state’s garment factory to produce uniforms for airmen.

The Chief of Air Staff (CAS), Sadique Abubakar, who visited the factory yesterday, said he was in the state to sensitise the people on how to tackle security challenges in the country.

Sadique commended his host, Governor Ben Ayade, for providing jobs for indigenes through his industrialisation drive, adding that the force would send airmen to work in the factory and learn to produce air force materials.

He said, “All I think we can benefit from is the Cross River Garment Factory as we look inward trying to get all that is required to execute our task.

“We see in Cross River that the garment factory is one place that we can get the partnership we require in trying to get our uniforms, flying suits, technicians’ suits and all other garments. So we are here, hopeful that at the end of the visit, we should be able to work out something with Cross River Garment Factory where we can give samples of some of our materials for them to look at.”

In response, Ayade assured the visiting team of good quality garment from the factory.
