NAHCON inaugurates 2022 hajj media team
National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON) has inaugurated a media team for the 2022 pilgrimage.
Composed of journalists from the print, broadcast and online media organisations nationwide, the agency’s chairman, Alhaji Zikrullah Hassan, pleaded with members to project Nigeria’s image.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) quoted him as saying: “You were chosen as professional media men and women and as Muslims. We expect nothing other than the best from you.
“We appeal to you to adhere to the rules and regulations of the host country, Saudi Arabia, to be at par with its standard.”
Hassan stated that the management would provide best services to pilgrims before, during and after the pilgrimage.”
Head of Planning, Research, Information and Library Services at the commission, Sheik Suleiman Momoh, stressed the need for objectivity and cross-checking of facts.
Chairman, National Media Team and Head of Media, NAHCON, Hajiya Fatima Mustapha, pledged effective coverage of the religious exercise.
