Speaking while commissioning the project, which was attended by hundreds of elated Obrikom indigenes, Executive Chairman of the council, Ifeanyi Odili, commended NAOC and its partners- the Nigeria National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) and Oando Plc- for the gesture, saying the centre would create enormous impact within the community and its environs.
In his remarks, General Manager District of NAOC, Tiani Alessandro, said as the world is going ICT-driven, it was imperative for the JV Partners to donate a project that would be sustainable as the company aims to impact positively on the communities it operates in.
Alessandro, represented by the Stakeholders Management and Community Development Division Manager, Dennis Masi, said the impact of the project in the community couldn’t be over-emphasised.
The member representing Ogba/Egbema/Ndoni State Constituency II in the Rivers State House of Assembly, Nathaniel Uwaji, while commending the community for their peaceful disposition, thanked the NAOC JV for the good gesture.
