NASS adjourns resumption over death of member
The National Assembly, Tuesday, adjourned plenary session over the demise of a member, Olufunke Adedoyin.
Adedoyin until her death represented Irepodun Isin/ Ekiti /Oke Ero Federal Constituency of Kwara State.
The deceased, who died after a brief illness, was also a former Minister of State for Health.
Senate Leader Ahmad Lawan moved that the Senate observe a minute of silence in honour of the late Kwara lawmaker and subsequently adjourn sitting to Wednesday.
Lawmakers resumed on Tuesday after over two months recess. The adjournment of the plenary is in line with the practice of the chambers regulations in the case of the death of a serving legislator.
