The National Assembly Chapter of the Parliamentary Staff Association of Nigeria (PASAN) has called off its four-day warning strike aimed at pressing home their demands.

PASAN’s Chairman, Musa Bature Muhammed, told journalists that the decision to call off the strike was based on assurances from the management of the National Assembly to yield to their demands, which include 28 per cent increment in the Consolidated Legislative Salary Structure (CONLESS).

He said the management had approved the implementation of the increase to begin from January 2019, promising to source for the arrears and pay in instalments.
