Anambra State chapter of National Association of Women Journalists (NAWOJ) has congratulated Prof. Chukwuma Soludo for his victory at the last gubernatorial election in the state on the platform of All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), tasking him on inclusive.

In a statement made available to The Guardian, yesterday, NAWOJ Chairperson, Franklyn Onyekachi, and Secretary, Uche Nworah, noted that power comes from God.

They expressed the belief that Soludo could not afford to let the people of Anambra down, even as they expect him to implement his manifesto to the letter, urging him to mind the 35 per cent Affirmative Action for women participation in governance as he forms his cabinet.

SIMILARLY, the leadership of Ohanaeze Ndigbo in the state has called on candidates of different political parties, who participated in the governorship election, to perish the idea of taking the governor-elect to court.

The President, Emeka Udodeme, during a press conference in Awka, yesterday, disclosed that seeking redress in the court would distract Soludo from providing democracy dividends to the masses.

While calling for an inclusive government, the Igbo umbrella organisation said the electorate could only hold a leader accountable to the duties of his office, only if he failed to deliver under a conducive atmosphere.
ALSO, the disability community in Anambra State has called on the governor-elect to speedily inaugurate the disability commission as soon as he is sworn in.

Special Adviser to Governor Willie Obiano on Disability Matters, Chukwuka Ezewuzie, in a press briefing in Awka, yesterday, said that disabled persons got what they wanted in his ticket with Dr. Onyeka Ibezim.

Ezewuzie, who is the Director of Disability Constituency Campaign Directorate of APGA, hinted: “We have won the battle and will win the war after the inauguration of the Soludo government.

“Soludo has now moved from deck to the batting box, and come March 17, 2022, he will take the development bat and hit a home run that will give us a grand slam economy accelerated by the envelopment wheels of his predecessor, for the dream of industrialised, viable an virile homeland.”
