The Nigeria Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) has warned flight crew members, especially the pilots, against working for multiple airlines concurrently.

The authority said that such actions could pose serious threat to safety and would be treated as a serious violation of the NCAA regulations.

Acting Director-General of the NCAA, Captain Chris Najomo, in a letter dated November 6, 2024, said that the unprofessional conduct was discovered by its surveillance reports.

The circular noted that the licence issued to pilot or any member of the flight crew is based on the approved Standards Operating Procedures (SOPs).

According to the circular, instances where pilots operate for more than one airline concurrently pose risk to safety.
