NECO releases unity schools’ entrance exam result

National Examination Council (NECO) has released the 2019 National Common Entrance Examination (NCEE) into unity schools.
The registrar, Abubakar Gana, presented the results to the Minister of Education, Adamu Adamu, in Abuja yesterday.
According to Gana, 77,832 candidates registered for the examination that took place on April 27, but only 73,347 sat for it.
“We had 18 visually-impaired students who sat for the examination,” he added.
When asked for the performance statistics of candidates according to their states, the registrar said it was the ministry that would provide the statistics.
Speaking on the release of results, Adamu said admission would commence on May 14 with the first batch coming on the first week of June, while supplementary admissions would take place between July 13 and 20.
The minister said all the unity schools would resume by the second week of September.
