NGO set to hold workshop on waste management
As part of efforts to evolve new attitude towards waste management, Waste Matters, a non-governmental organization, has concluded plans to organize a two-day workshop. Tagged “Sustainable waste management in an evolving economy,” the event will x-ray the culture of waste management, modern methods and most importantly the gains.
The event will hold at Sheraton Hotel, Ikeja on April19-20, this year.Those expected to be part of the event include but not limited to officers responsible for waste management and sanitation in any organization, new entrants into the business, students, thegeneral public and non-governmental organization.
Head Business Development, Frankline Nwike, disclosed that resource persons who have attained prominence in their fields of endeavors would deliver insightful lectures to the attendees while interactive sections will be held to resolve areas of concern to participants.
He said: “This is borne out of the need to equip new entrants into the business of waste management and employees whose major responsibilities is to ensure a clean and healthy environment with the knowledge of modern methods, skills, benefits, procedures, regulations, facilities management strategies and planned programmes among others.“This program will in no small measure help to provide a platform for participants to receive updates on monthly basis via newsletter.”
