NHFSS receives 24 complaints in one month
The Nigeria Hunters and Forest Security Service (NHFSS) says it received 24 complaints in the month of November.
The Commander, Nigerian Hunters and Forest Security Service (NHFSS) Kano State Command, Abdullahi Al-ameen disclosed this in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Wednesday in Kano.
Al-ameen said the service is trying its best to live up to its mandate in prevention, detection of crimes and illegal activities perpetrated in the forests.
“Out of the 24 complainants received,16 had been treated and done with, while eight were pending.
“Most of the cases were on animal theft, kidnapping, phone theft, motorcycle theft among others.
“We will continue to secure and make forest crime free zones”, he said.
The commander urged the public to cooperate with the service and be law abiding.
