Niger lose again as Vipers, Shooters shine at Prudent Energy Handball League
Defending champions, Niger United, suffered their third loss at the on-going Prudent Energy Handball League on a day Safety Shooters, Plateau Vipers and Benue Queens won their games in the competition holding at Package B of the MKO Abiola Stadium in Abuja.
In the men’s category, Niger United fell 23-28 to De Defenders, Safety Shooters beat Lagos Seasiders 25 – 23, while Confluence Stars defeated Plateau Vipers 24-28.
The women class saw Benue Queens beating Desert Queens 28-17 in an interesting match.
In today’s fixtures, Rima Strikers will take on Confluence Stars, while Benue Queens battle Imo Grasshoppers for points. Kada Queens will meet Safety Babes, while Defender Babes confront Plateau Peacocks.
Other matches involve Delta Force against COAS Shooters, Kada Stars versus Borno Spiders and Niger United against Safety Shooters.
