As Nigeria marks its 65th Independence anniversary, a member of the Lagos State House of Assembly, Adewale Temitope Adedeji, has lauded Nigerians for their resilience and urged them to sustain their confidence in President Bola Tinubu’s administration.
In a statement issued by his media office on Wednesday, Adewale, who represents Ifako-Ijaiye Constituency I, said Nigeria was entering its 66th year stronger and more stable than in previous decades.
He noted that the Federal Government had set the nation on the path of economic recovery and long-term growth, assuring citizens that the impact of ongoing reforms would soon be visible.
“The President has rekindled our hope with his Independence Day address, where he outlined the achievements of his administration in just over two years,” Adewale said.
“Globally respected economic analysts and experts have confirmed that Nigeria is moving in the right direction.
“We have moved past the most challenging phase of economic growth. The country’s GDP is steadily improving while inflation continues to decline. These are positive indicators that our economy is regaining strength.”
The lawmaker also called on Nigerians to continue supporting government efforts at all levels, urging state governors to focus more on people-oriented programmes and infrastructural development.
“This is one of the best ways to justify the increased allocations to states under President Tinubu’s administration,” he said.
