Tha Beatsmith releases new album, ‘Youth Was My Excuse’
Nigeria born multi-genre music producer, Tha Beatsmith has released a new well-sonic ravishing album “Youth Was My Excuse” (YWME), a 9-track masterpiece about youthfulness, having a good time and basking in a state of identity crisis.
Adetdotun Wale-Adeduro known professionally as Tha Beatsmith makes music that is a meld of different genres and influences.
His productions are distinctive and creative, soundscapes rooted in the defining elements of Hip Hop cords, R&B soul melodies and the groove and percussion of Afrobeat.
YWME is a soundtrack to a young, vibrant and carefree lifestyle. The album is an orchestra of sounds, vibes, melodies and detailed songwriting with Tha Beatsmith at the center of the composition.
In 2021, Tha Beatsmith collaborated with Ogranya to “Vanity EP”, an enriched alternative body of work.
He also had a production credit on Vector’s “TESLIM” for producing “Teslim Introduction” the first track on the album. Another of his notable productions was 2020 Headies Nominated Best Alternative Song, “Better” by Deena Ade.
Tha Beatsmith understands the fusion of different genres and sounds with relatable human angle stories. His music leaves you with a surreal experience.
