The Delta State Governor, Sheriff Oborevwori has extolled the virtues of late Pa Edwin Clark who passed on the 17th February 2025 as a ‘bold and courageous’ man.

Oborevwori said this when he paid a condolence visit to the family of the late Niger Delta activist.

While he extols the virtues of the leader of the Pan Niger Delta Forum (PANDEF) who passed away on February 17, at
the age of 97, he said that Clark was a man who never shied away from speaking truth to power.

He said it is with great sorrow he is speaking because the nation and most especially Delta State would miss the late Pa Clark due to his forthrightness, especially on national issues and his concern about the Niger Delta.

He said, “I extend my deepest condolence to the family of Pa Clark and the people of Kiagbodo and the whole nation including the Niger Delta over his demise.

“As I sit here today, I can see that people sitting are celebrating the life of our father who passed on. He is somebody that when you call on him when matters concern the Niger Delta, he would not hesitate to come on board.

“He’s very bold and courageous and when we spoke last, he assured me that as governor, I am doing very well and if I was not doing well, he would say it to my face.”

Governor Sheriff later signed the condolence register after he met with the members of the late Pa Clark’s family.
