Centre for Gender and Development Studies, Delta State University, Abraka, in collaboration with African Centre for Leadership, Strategy and Development, Abuja will host a two-day maiden conference for directors of gender centres in Nigerian universities.
  
A statement released by the host/convener and Acting Director, Centre for Gender and Development Studies, DELSU Abraka, Dr, Ufuoma Awhefeada, says the opening ceremony will take place on November 21 at the  750 Lecture Theatre, Site III.
  
The conference, themed, ‘Gender Centres in Nigerian Universities: Impetus for National Development’ will have the Vice Chancellor of DELSU, Abraka, Prof. Andy Ogochukwu Egwunyenga, as the chief host and erudite scholar of Sociology and Gender Studies, Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, Prof. Olabisi I. Aina, as guest speaker.
