FG to promote 17, 331 paramilitary personnel

The Civil Defence Correctional Fire and Immigration Services, Board, (CDCFIB), said the the approval is for the year 2022 promotion exercise for the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, (NSCDC), Nigeria Correctional Service, (NCoS), the Federal Fire Service, (FFS), and the Nigeria Immigration Service, (NIS).

The Board Chairman and minister of Interior, Rauf Aregbesola, said the exercise “approved the promotion of 8,365 officers in the Nigerian Correctional Service (NCoS), 3,472 officers in the Nigeria Immigration
Service (NIS), 327 officers in the Federal Fire Service (FFS) and 5,167 Officers in the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps.”

Aregbesola disclosed this after the Board’s meeting which held in Abuja.

In a communique signed by the Secretary of the Board, Ja’afaru Ahmed, Aregbsola said that the approval was made taking cognizance of merit and performance of the Officers.

The Chairman Congratulated the newly promoted officers saying that their promotion was “a call for service to the ministry of Interior, the Board, and their respective Services.”

He also urged them to work hard for the realisation of the mandates, visions of their respective Services and ensuring the internal security of the country.
