Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke, on Wednesday inspected the ongoing dualisation of the Palace-Brewery Junction in Ilesa, directing the contractors to ensure standard work and timely completion of the project.
A statement by the governor’s spokesperson, Olawale Rasheed, revealed that Adeleke made this known during an impromptu inspection of the project.
It added that the governor directed the contractor to speed up the work and deliver on time.
He told the representatives, “I am happy you are working continuously on the project, but I task you to move faster. My good people of Ilesa are eager to start using this landmark road.”
The project engineer, who was surprised by the governor’s sudden appearance, explained the stages of the work done so far, assuring that “by next month, this side of the road would have reached an appreciable level.”
“We are working according to the standard and timeline for the implementation. We assure Your Excellency that we will not delay the project, and we will deliver on schedule,” the engineer explained.
