Blooming Greens School recently gave school children, widows, orphans and Non Governmental Organisations (NGOs), cash gifts to celebrate the Yuletide, while emphasising the need for well-meaning Nigerians emulate same.

Some of the beneficiaries included:  Concerned Parents & Educators (CPE) Network; Dreams of Brighter Day Initiative, Ajegunle; Missionaries of Charity Orphanage; Moblie Ark Ministry; four widows; kidney failure patient and the school’s best teacher of the year awardee.

Proprietor/ Chief Executive Officer , Susan Babatunde-Yamah, stated that the cash gift was obtained from the school’s charity art exhibition.

Babatunde-Yamah maintained that the country’s economic situation required the privileged to support the underprivileged.

She said: “In November, we had a charity art exhibition, which is a yearly event. It’s the creativity of our children. We sell these art works and the proceeds are given to charity during Christmas.

“The idea is to teach our children the importance of sharing with people, and support for the needy.

Being our end-of-the-year party and Christmas concert, we brought the proceeds and gave it to the society.

“Well meaning Nigerians, especially during this season, should remember the next door neighbour, who is hungry.”
