The Beer Sectoral Group (BSG), a sub-sectoral group under the Food, Beverage and Tobacco Sector of the Manufacturers Association of Nigeria (MAN), paid a courtesy visit to the Honourable Minister of Trade and Investment, Federal Ministry of Industry, Trade and Investment of Nigeria, Dr. Jumoke Oduwole, MFR.
The delegation, led by Mr. Carlos Coutino, Chairman of the BSG and Chief Executive Officer of International Breweries Plc, included Mr Adeyemi Folorunso, a Director representing the Director-General of the Manufacturing Association of Nigeria, Abiola Laseinde, Executive Director of BSG; Temitope Oguntokun, Corporate Affairs & Regulatory Director at International Breweries; Uzo Odenigbo, Corporate Affairs Director at Nigerian Breweries Plc; and Rotimi Odusola, Corporate Relations Director at Guinness Nigeria Plc.
The visit provided an opportunity to discuss key challenges confronting the beer industry and to explore avenues for stronger collaboration with the government in addressing them.
The Honourable Minister acknowledged the concerns raised and expressed the Ministry’s openness to continued engagement with the sector to explore mutually beneficial solutions.
The BSG reaffirmed its commitment to constructive dialogue, responsible industry practices, and partnership with the government in addressing these challenges.
