Dukiya investments gives succour to flood victims in Kogi
A leading real estate company in Nigeria, Dukiya investments, has distributed relief materials to the affected victims of flooding in Kogi State.
The firm said the reason for the succour to the people of the state was that it was one of the most affected states in the country and could bear witness to some of the victims still counting their losses.
The organisation whose core value is anchored on reinventing converts, building smiles and leading people home is said to be poised to put smiles on the faces of people across the different divides of the country.
Speaking at the event on Monday, the representative of the organisation who doubles as co-founder and head of business in the firm, Lukman Shobowale said that Dukiya was moved by the plight of these affected victims hence they saved 1 per cent of earnings in three months to carter for these vulnerable ones.
Shobowale assured that the firm will stop at nothing, but to ensure that the core mandate of the organisation on touching lives is met daily.
“This was a unanimous decision of the management and staff of our company to help the victims in the little way we can because we are humans too and we saw the extent of the damage the flood caused to these people,” the seasoned real estate developer added.
Responding to the gesture, a chieftain in the affected community who craved anonymity appreciated Dukiya and its team for coming to their aid, adding that the relief materials will go a long in helping them recover from all they lost while the flood lasted.
“It was an important gesture and we appreciate that we are being remembered in this traumatic time.
“We appreciate Dukiya for this initiative, for even considering us for succour before the government is a thing we never imagined and we pray that God will replenish their company in multiple folds,” he stressed.
