Ogun State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun, has congratulated Christians on this year’s Easter celebration and reiterated the commitment of his administration to development.
The governor, in his Easter message on Sunday, called on Nigerians to look forward to a brighter future in line with the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
“As we celebrate this joyous occasion, let us carry forward the lessons of Easter, promoting unity and goodwill in our country, state, neighborhoods, and beyond,” he said.
“On our part, we will continue our developmental trajectory, which has put our state on a firm pedestal of development. We will continue to strive to provide the best for our people to raise their standards of living,” he said.
Also, the Chairman of Senate Committee on Appropriations, Senator Solomom Adeola, has called on all Nigerians to pray for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Nigeria for a prosperous and secure future.
Adeola, in his Easter message, appealed to all to Christians and others to imbible Christian virtues of sacrifice, patience, love and abiding faith for a better tomorrow as exemplified in the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ.
He called on Nigerians to remain hopeful and support Government’s efforts in the challenge of building a better society devoid of rampant insecurity and economic deprivations.
Meanwhile, former Governor of Ogun and senator representing Ogun East senatorial district, Otunba Gbenga Daniel, said the season should remind the faithful of abundant love which is represented in the sacrifice of Christ.
“This blessed season of Easter offers us another beautiful opportunity to reflect on the enduring message of love, sacrifice, and renewal. It is a time that reminds us all of the triumph of hope over despair, of light over darkness, and of unity over division”.
“As we celebrate, I urge us all as citizens to draw closer in unity and compassion just as Christ taught us by supporting one another and reaching out to those in need so that we can build a stronger nation, a prosperous Ogun State and a happier Ogun East Senatorial District together.”
