Armed robbers have reportedly stormed the residence of former Ijebu-Ode Local Government Chairman, Alhaji Emilola Gazal, in the early hours of yesterday, carting away valuables, funds, and his vehicle.

The incident reportedly occurred around 2 a.m., when a gang of three armed men broke into his home.

According to accounts, the robbers forced the former chairman to open his banking application and transfer funds before fleeing with his silver-coloured vehicle and other possessions.

Speaking via telephone through a neighbour, Alhaji Gazal described the ordeal as terrifying, noting that the assailants carried guns and operated with precision.

The Ijebu-Ode Police Area Command, Igbeba, has been alerted and confirmed that investigations are ongoing.
