Speaking at the One-Day Nexim Exporter Enlightenment Forum at Gumel Foundation Conference Hall in Gumel, Namadi highlighted his administration’s efforts to revive the Maigatari Export Processing Zone. He noted that this would enhance the state’s export processing capacity and boost the production of exportable agricultural products, such as hibiscus, sesame, groundnuts, and gum Arabic.

He called on Nexim Bank to extend its Nigerian Export/Import Banking services to grassroots communities through advocacy and enlightenment campaigns on the importance of banking transactions and their impact on community development.

He said, “We welcome the presence of Nexim Bank in Jigawa State to educate our community on the significance of the Nexim Nigeria-Export Banking Network in enhancing Nigeria’s export capabilities and promoting sustainable economic growth in Jigawa State.”

Governor Namadi assured Nexim Bank and other financial institutions of continuous government support and patronage for their operations in Jigawa State. During the forum, all barriers related to Nigerian-Export Banking transactions were discussed, with professionals from the bank providing solutions for the benefit of participants.

Earlier, the Managing Director of Nexim Bank, Alhaji Abba Bello, assured participants of the bank’s full support in empowering exporters, who play a pivotal role in driving the nation’s economic diversification and development.

Bello encouraged participants to take full advantage of the opportunities presented, stating, “I expect you to engage actively, network with your peers, and seek the support and guidance available to you. Your success is ours, and together we can achieve remarkable feats.”

He reiterated Nexim’s commitment to being a steadfast partner in progress, adding, “We look forward to working together to unlock new markets, create jobs, and contribute to the prosperity of our great nation.”

Speaking on behalf of the participants, Abdullahi Yakubu Maidoya from Dawanau, Kano, commended Nexim Bank’s management for this insightful initiative. He assured that the information would be shared with their members to encourage them to embrace and register with Nexim Bank’s Nigeria Export Import Banking transactions.

Maidoya called for proper support and encouragement for those willing to take advantage of this new banking concept, as Nexim Bank assured its full commitment to assisting participants in making these noble ideas a success in their region.
