Soun of Ogbomoso visits Olubadan-designate
Olubadan-designate, Rasidi Adewolu Ladoja, has urged Mogajis (family heads) and Baales in Ibadanland to promptly report anything that could pose a security threat to the law enforcement agencies.
Ladoja, who gave the admonitions when Mogajis and Baales from Ibadanland visited him, advised them to be security-conscious at all times.
The Chief Press Secretary to the Olubadan, Solomon Olugbemiga Ayoade, in a statement issued and made available to journalists on Sunday, noted that the Olubadan-designate said that the Mogajis and Baales are the chief security officers in their various domains.
Ladoja, while addressing the gathering, said that he is ready to attract investments to not only Ibadanland but also Oyo State in general, where peaceful co-existence reigns supreme.
He noted that he would not allow anything like land grabbing or security breaches to discourage them.
Meanwhile, the Soun of Ogbomosoland, Oba Ghandi Afolabi Olaoye, on Sunday, paid a courtesy visit to the Olubadan-designate.
The meeting, held in Ibadan, was described as more than a royal engagement but a historic encounter deeply rooted in tradition, mutual respect, and shared aspirations for the future.
According to Oba Olaoye, the discussions between the two monarchs were warm and meaningful, touching on unity, progress, and the collective destiny of the Yoruba people.
He noted that the visit was a moment of joy and fulfilment for him, as it reaffirmed the long-standing bond between Ibadan and Ogbomoso.
“May this bond of friendship and collaboration continue to grow stronger, for in our unity lies the path to greater peace, prosperity, and flourishing for generations to come,” the Soun said.
