LASEPA seals firm, church for noise pollution
Lagos State Environmental Protection Agency (LASEPA) sealed two establishments—Landcraft Industries Nigeria and Word of Light Christ Ministry (Camp of Light)—yesterday for alleged noise and environmental pollution.
Landcraft Industries Nigeria is located in Odogunyan, Ikorodu, Lagos. Also, the Word of Light Christ Ministry (Camp of Light) is located in Oriokuta in Ikorodu.
The enforcement team, led by Deputy Director Babatunde Gbenga, aimed to ensure compliance with the State Environmental Laws 2017.
The General Manager of LASEPA, Dr Babatunde Ajayi, stated that the agency took decisive action after issuing repeated warnings to both establishments to address their respective environmental concerns, which were disregarded.
According to him, the enforcement demonstrates LASEPA’s unwavering commitment to safeguarding the environment and public health.
He expressed the agency’s readiness to take action against any establishment that fails to comply with the state’s environmental regulations.
He urged all industries and establishments in Lagos State to prioritise environmental sustainability and adhere strictly to regulations to avoid similar consequences.
