As the festive season ushers in heightened vehicular activity across Lagos, the Lagos State Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA) has reaffirmed its dedication to mitigating traffic congestion on the Whistle app.

This pioneering application empowers Lagosians to report reckless driving, traffic violations, one-way contraventions, and other disruptive occurrences directly to LASTMA.

Whether navigating a traffic snarl, witnessing an accident, or encountering a hazardous vehicle, users can seamlessly alert nearby LASTMA personnel.

Upon receiving such reports, the agency will respond swiftly to address the situation – whether by decongesting traffic, managing accident scenes, or removing obstructive vehicles—thereby fostering a safer and more efficient commuting experience.

LASTMA spokesperson, Adebayo Taofiq, in a statement, urged the public to collaborate with the agency in cultivating safer and more orderly roadways throughout the state.

“Let us join forces to alleviate traffic bottlenecks and ensure a smooth and enjoyable festive season for everyone,” he said. “The Whistle app can be downloaded from the Play Store and contribute to safer Lagos roads.”
