Moshood Abiola Polytechnic Alumni Association willohold her biennial alumni convention on Saturday, May 24, 2025 at Academic Planning Building Board Hall, Ojere campus, Abeokuta. 

The National President, Mr Ezekiel Obasanya, disclosed that “ the convention and general meeting will usher in a change of guard as new national executive council (NEC) are to be elected by delegates from various chapters.” 
Obasanya added that “ delegates from chapters expected at the convention include : Lagos, Abeokuta, Remo, United Kingdom and Europe, and the America and North America.” 

The Rector Moshood Abiola Polytechnic, Dr Koyejo Jolaoso will deliver the keynote address; the chairman MAPOLY Governing Council, Prof. Kamal Balogun is the Special Guest of Honour; Executive Chairman Surry Bee Petroleum Ltd, Hadj Adebisi Bada as Chairman ; while the Rector D.S Adegbenro  ICT Polytechnic, Itoro- Ewekoro, Ogun State, Dr Goke Rauf  will speak on the theme, “ Elevating MAPOLY’s Legacy through Alumni Partnership”; and Royal Father of the Day is the Olota of Ota Kingdom, Oba Prof  Abdul- Kabir Adeyemi Obalanlege. 

Issues expected to be concluded at the national convention include: built operate and transfer (BOT) of the alumni hostel building project with capacity each for 1,200 male and female hostel; completion of Alumni Centre and entrepreneurship and skills acquisition scheme for students and mentorship, among others. 

Dignitaries and alumni expected to grace the convention include the Chairman Committee for Distinguished alumni (CODA) and executive director of Minds and Brains Ltd Media Independent, Mr Olalekan Otun; executive chairman SKP Services Ltd, Arch Samson Popoola; veteran broadcaster and former General Manager NTA Katsina, Hadj Ayinde Soaga; Chairman Abeokuta North Local Govt, Mr Lanre Oyegbola- Sodipo; special adviser to Ogun State Governor on Youth Development, Hon Olamide Lawal; managing director Kabat Communication Ltd, Chief Tunde Odeyemi; Chief of staff to chairman National Quality Control , Mr Bola Fashina; Managing Director 24/7 IMC Ltd, Omooba Segun Adewale, among others.
