Four persons, including a teenager, have reportedly died in an auto crash at Alagbon, along Owode-Atan road in Ogun State. Also, three others sustained injuries from the accident that occurred when a bus collided with a stationary faulty Sinotruck and a white Suzuki mini bus with registration number KTU 874 YJ.
Confirming the development in a statement yesterday, spokesperson for the Traffic Compliance and Enforcement Corps (TRACE) Babatunde Akinbiyi, said 11 people were involved in the accident.
The Guardian gathered that three individuals (one male and two females) sustained injuries, four others ( one male, two female adults and one teenager) tragically lost their lives.
Akinbiyi blamed the crash on both drivers, stating that the mini bus would not have collided with the cement-laden Sinotruck if the truck driver had placed a caution triangle on the road to warn incoming vehicles.
He said the injured victims were taken to General Hospital, Idi-Iroko by operatives of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) before the arrival of TRACE officials.
The accidented vehicles had been towed away and traffic flow restored in the area.
