Speaking during an inspection and familiarisation visit to transport project sites in Ilisan, Iperu, and other locations, the Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Transportation, Mrs. Aderonke Tokunbo-Peters, underscored the need for a coordinated approach in implementing the State’s Strategic Transportation Master Plan (STMP).

Tokunbo-Peters emphasised the importance of synergy among agencies to ensure an efficient and safe transport system, aligning with the vision of Governor Dapo Abiodun’s administration.

She commended the government’s ongoing infrastructural developments, particularly the Gateway International Airport and the Gateway Aviation Estate in Iperu, describing them as transformational projects that will boost the state’s economic growth.

“The progress of the intermodal transport development projects is commendable. To fully realise the administration’s vision, we must continue fostering collaboration and ensuring that all stakeholders are aligned in our objectives,” she stated.
