Ogunsan congratulates IGP Usman at 59
Ace entrepreneur and Chairman of Executive Group; Board Member, Lagos State Security Trust Fund (LSSTF), Ayo Ogunsan, has congratulated the Inspector-General of Police, Alkali Baba Usman, on his 59th birthday.
The police boss who was appointed by President Mohammadu Buhari, last year, was described by Ogunsan as ‘a refined and reformed policing professional”.
In a congratulatory message released to newsmen recently, Ogunsan said Usman, within the last one year, has provided sterling leadership for all officers and men, being ‘a man of ethics and standards’.
‘The Inspector-General of Police, Alkali Baba Usman, is one man whose immense contribution to policing has been largely felt in all dimensions. Permit me to spare the epistle but to mention that we have here a refined and reformed police professional.
‘Since he took over, the Nigeria Police Force, under his watch, has experienced tremendous transformation in ways too numerous to enumerate. Recall he was quoted to have said that he would like to bequeath ‘a legacy of policing with human face.’
‘Sir, as you celebrate your 59th birthday, I pray to God to grant you the strength and stamina to grow greater in all your endeavours and fulfil destiny too. I wish you the very best in life. Happy birthday sir,” said Ogunsan.
Born on March 1, 1963 in Geidam Local Government Area of Yobe State, Usman joined the force on March 15, 1988, and has served the nation in several capacities within the policing system, addressing security challenges.
