Osun to renovate courts, promises effective security

Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke

Following the razing of Ilesa High Court 2 on Sunday by some yet-to-be apprehended arsonists, the Osun State Government, on Tuesday, hinted that arrangements had been concluded to renovate the courts’ premises across the state.

Besides, effective security of courts and judicial workers will be prioritised to prevent the recurrence of any breach of peace and arson by hoodlums.

These disclosures were made by the state commissioner for Justice and Attorney-General, Mr Oluwole Jimi-Bada, shortly after inspecting the premises of Ilesa High Court 2, which was set ablaze by arsonists, leading to the destruction of the building and vital court documents.

Jimi-Bada, who was accompanied by his counterpart in the Ministry of Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Mr Dosu Babatunde, also declared that the perpetrators of the dastardly act will be apprehended to face justice.
