A statement signed by the state’s Commissioner for Information, Dotun Oyelade, stated that the move was one of the decisions taken at the last meeting of the Council, which was conducted virtually.

Oyelade said the state had deployed funds to help farmers and to increase harvests, adding that billions of naira had been spent on fertilisers, seedlings, subsidy on tractorisation, and feeds on livestock, among others.

According to the statement, the Council also approved the expansion of the scope of work at the ongoing upgrade of Ladoke Akintola International Airport, Ibadan.

He said that in continuation of its efforts to improve inner roads, the Council also approved the asphaltic rehabilitation of the Renaissance High School Road, the Basorun Oluwo Nla Road and Road 25 on Basorun Housing Estate.
